1. The software

PromptDesk / Teleprompter ("the Software") is a teleprompter for presenters (Presentation mode) and a study and practice aid (Quiz mode) that uses AI to suggest answers to questions shown on your own screen. By installing or using it you agree to these terms.

2. The two modes

Presentation mode: your notes only. The panel is hidden from screen sharing and recordings so your audience sees your slides, not your notes. No AI is used and no screen content is sent anywhere.
Quiz mode: the panel is visible in screen shares and recordings. It captures an image of your screen, sends it to an AI service and shows suggested answers.

3. Acceptable use

You may use the Software to present, rehearse, learn and practice, for example with your own practice tests and study material.

You may not use it to break the rules of an exam, test, assessment, certification, interview, course, proctored session or competition, or the policy of your school or employer. You alone are responsible for knowing and following those rules and for how you use the Software. We do not provide the Software for cheating and may end the license of anyone who does.

4. AI answers can be wrong

Answers are generated by AI and may be incorrect or out of date. Check anything that matters. We are not responsible for decisions, grades, results or outcomes that rely on them.

5. Your data

See the Privacy Policy. In Quiz mode a screenshot of your screen is sent through our server to Anthropic to produce answers; we do not store screenshots or answers.

6. License and allowance

With a valid product key we grant you a personal, non-transferable license to use the Software on up to 2 devices for one year. The subscription includes a yearly allowance of AI usage ("screens"); extra screens can be bought on the account page. Daily fair-use limits apply. You may not share your key, resell the Software, reverse engineer it or bypass licensing or usage limits.

7. Termination

We may revoke a key that is shared, refunded, charged back or used against these terms. Your right to use the Software then ends.

9. No warranty

The Software is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law.

10. Limit of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Software in the 12 months before the claim.

11. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; continued use means you accept them. Governing law and courts: [JURISDICTION: to be set with your lawyer].
