What this covers
PromptDesk (Windows) and Teleprompter (macOS) are a presenter teleprompter and a study aid. This page explains what data the apps and our server handle. Contact: support@mysigames.com.
Presentation mode
Your script, speed and font settings stay on your computer. Presentation mode does not use AI and does not capture or send your screen anywhere.
Quiz mode: your screen is sent for processing
- When Quiz mode is on, the app takes a screenshot of your main display, shrinks it, and sends it through our server to Anthropic, the AI provider, to produce answers. It does this when the screen changes, or when you press Refresh or Ctrl+Alt+A.
- Anything visible on that display can be in the screenshot: other windows, messages, notifications, other people's information. Close anything private before you turn Quiz mode on.
- We do not store your screenshots or the AI's answers. They pass through our server to Anthropic and back. Our server logs do not contain image data.
- Anthropic processes the screenshot under its own terms and privacy policy; ask us if you need a link or details of what they retain.
- The Quiz mode panel is visible to screen sharing and recordings by design.
Data we keep about your account
- Your email address (to send your product key and receipts).
- A one-way hash of your product key (we cannot read your key back from it).
- Random device identifiers for the computers where you activated the key (up to 2).
- Usage counts: when you made an AI request, which model, and how many tokens it used. This is how we meter your allowance.
- Payment details are handled by our payment provider. We do not receive or store your card number.
How it is used
To run the service: activate your key, enforce device and usage limits, bill and support you, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell your data and do not use it for advertising.
Who else sees it
- Anthropic (AI processing of Quiz mode screenshots).
- Our payment provider (checkout and invoices).
- Our email and hosting providers (delivering your key; running the server).
- Authorities, when the law requires it.
Retention and your rights
We keep account and usage records while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards for accounting and disputes. You can ask us to see, correct or delete your data, or to close your account, by emailing support@mysigames.com. We may keep what the law requires us to keep.
Security
Traffic to our server is encrypted (HTTPS). Product keys are stored only as hashes. The AI provider key lives on our server only, never inside the app.
Children
The service is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). Do not use it if you are below it.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above and, for material changes, notify you by email or in the app.
